I light a candle
I think of you
knowing
even though
you are gone
from my sight
your spirit lives on
the flame reminds me
though we aren’t together
we are still connected
when I see
the candle’s light
I remember
you
knowing
you are here
because
the flame lives on
in my heart
forever
